World's Largest Swimming Pool.....

Can you believe this place in Chile? Imagine doing 10 laps of this pool lengthwise! On a jet-ski maybe. It is 1.3 klms long, 800 mtrs wide (8/10 of a mile long by 1/2 mile wide) at its shortest point and varies from ankle depth to 8 mtrs deep. It employs 41 life guards and has lifesaving devices which pop out of the bottom in various locations in case of rescue requirements. Built jointly by Korean/Japanese interests, it's expected to have a business life scale of 15 years. Wonder how they clean the thing?

"The Devil's Swimming Pool"

Safety tip for ATM robbery

Hi friends…

Spend 2 mins… this is for your safety….. VERY USEFUL INFORMATION

If any robber catches you and you are forced by the robber to withdraw money from an ATM machine, you can notify the police so smartly by entering your Pin Number in reverse. For example if your pin number is 1234 then you would put in 4321. The ATM recognizes that your pin number is backwards from the ATM card you placed in the machine. The machine will still give you the money you requested, but unknown to the robber, the police will be immediately despatched to help you. This information was recently a broadcast on TV and it states that it is seldom used because people don't know of its existence. Please pass this information to everyone...........

Wonder why women live longer...?

Mum and Dad were watching TV when Mum said, "I'm tired, and it's getting late. I think I'll go to bed."

She went to the kitchen to make sandwiches for the next day's lunches. Rinsed out the popcorn bowls, took meat out of the freezer for supper the following evening, checked the cereal box levels, filled the sugar container, put spoons and bowls on the table and started the coffee pot for brewing the next morning.

She then put some wet clothes in the dryer, put a load of clothes into the washer, ironed a shirt and secured a loose button.

She picked up the game pieces left on the table, put the phone back on the charger and put the telephone book into the drawer. She watered the plants, emptied a wastebasket and hung up a towel to dry. She yawned and stretched and headed for the bedroom. She stopped by the desk and wrote a note to the teacher, counted out some cash for the excursion and pulled a text book out from hiding under the chair.

She signed a birthday card for a friend, addressed and stamped the envelope and wrote a quick note for the grocery store. She put both near her bag.

Mum then washed her face with 3 in 1 cleanser, put on her Night Solution & age fighting moisturizer, brushed and flossed her teeth and filed her nails. Dad called out, "I thought you were going to bed." "I'm on my way," she said. She put some water into the dog's dish and put the cat outside, then made sure the doors were locked and the patio light was on. She looked in on each of the kids and turned out their bedside lamps and radios, hung up a shirt, threw some dirty socks into the hamper, and had a brief conversation with the one up still doing homework. In her own room, she set the alarm; laid out clothing for the next day, straightened up the shoe rack. She added three things to her 6 most important things to do list. She said her prayers, and visualized the accomplishment of her goals.

About that time, Dad turned off the TV and announced to no one in particular. "I'm going to bed." And he did...without another thought.

Anything extraordinary here? Wonder why women live longer...? 'CAUSE THEY ARE MADE FOR THE LONG HAUL...... (and they can't die sooner, they still> have things to do!!!!)

Indian Technology‏

After digging to a depth of 100 meters last year, Russian scientists found traces of copper wire dating back 1000 years, and came to the conclusion that their ancestors already had a telephone network one thousand years ago. So, not to be outdone, in the weeks that followed, American scientistsdug 200 meters and headlines in the US papers read: 'US scientists have found traces of 2000 year old optical fibers, and have concluded that their ancestors already had advanced high-tech digital telephone 1000 years earlier than the Russians.'One week later, the Indian newspapers reported the following: 'After digging as deep as 500 meters, Indian scientists have found absolutely nothing. They have concluded that 5000 years ago, their ancestors were already using wireless technology.'

Eating Breakfast leads to better health of Children

Breakfast

Many of us make excuses as to why we don't eat breakfast - "I'm running late." "I don't have the time." But as a parent, this is one behavior you may need to rethink, because a nutritious breakfast is essential for the growth and development of your children.

Children are continuously growing and changing every day, and a nutritious breakfast provides the sugar, starch, protein, and fat - elements necessary for children to ensure a sustained release of energy and a delayed onset of hunger. Eating breakfast also improves the intake of fiber, vitamins, and minerals, especially iron and vitamin C.
Studies have shown that eating breakfast gives children the nutritional boost they need to get the learning process going - to stimulate learning - and there are other benefits as well. Children who ate breakfast (when compared to those who rarely ate breakfast):

  • Learn better
  • Achieve more
  • Participate in the class more
  • Behave better
  • Attend school more
  • Visit the school nurse less often

Children who are hungry can be apathetic, disinterested, and irritable when confronted with difficult tasks. Growth, the nonverbal aspects of development, learning, and social skills of undernourished children are significantly affected. But when the physical need of hunger is taken care of, these children can focus on learning and perform better in school, not only educationally but socially and emotionally as well.
The evidence is clear - eating breakfast, whether it's eaten at home or at school - and whether it's pancakes, cereal, fruit, a peanut butter and jelly sandwich, or leftovers from the night before - leads to better health, learning, and behavior - all keys to success at school - and in life.
